It's Back to School Time!

Welcome to the September Cross Canada Blog Hop and our theme this month - Back to School. If you see anything that you would like to know more about or would like to purchase, please contact your local Close to my Heart Consultant.

We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers, whether it is something that you like or some new technique you would like to learn more about. By leaving a comment, we get to hear what you like and what you would like to see. Thank you! Now, on with the hop!

If you just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you want to hop across Canada, then start with Michelle in Nova Scotia. If you arrived here from Donna's blog, then you are in the right place, but if you get lost along the way, just return to Michelle's blog where you will find the complete list of hoppers.

I don't have kids at home anymore, but I have a lot of grands (13 of them!) who are going back to school, from grades 4 to University! This layout uses Peacock and Saffron cardstock, a sheet of the Fundamentals Enchantment paper, and vellum from the Fundamentals Uptown paper. I also used the School 7 - 12 Complements and a sliver of gold from the Fundamental Assortment Gold for the ferrule on the pencil. I just cut a tiny piece from between the dots on the gold sheet and then carefully cut it to size. I coloured the pencil with our alcohol markers first. The title also comes from the School 7 - 12 Complements. I wasn't sure about the purple lettering, but it really adds something. I also added some of the new gold ribbon from the Uptown Ribbon pack.

That's it for me this month. Next up is Corrina with another awesome Back to School project.

If you have seen anything here that you would like more information about, please contact your local Close to my Heart consultant.

Come join us next month when our theme will be - what else? - Halloween! See you then!

  1. Very nice layout! The purple does make it pop!

  2. Great layout! Love how you added the glitter to the pencil embellishment.
