Hopscotch Hearts of the West Blog Hop

Welcome to the March Hearts of the West Blog Hop!

If this is your first time joining us you will love it. It features Close to my Heart Consultants from all over Canada showing you their projects. The Hearts of the West team was founded by Nancy Klein.
This month's challenge is based on the Hopscotch paper pack, brought to you by the new Annual Inspirations and hand picked by Nancy Klein.
If you came from Kim's blog then you're in the right place, but since this is a circular blog hop, you can start anywhere! Just in case, the full list will be at the bottom. So, as always, grab your coffee, tea, or water, relax, and hop around the team with us.
The Hopscotch paper is so much fun! I seem to be on a card making kick lately and decided to make more for this hop. Thank you to Abby Candish Mills and Kristie (no last name) and her blog, The Best Things in Life are Pink for the inspiration!

When I started my project this month, it was going to be the alternate layout for the Hopscotch paper, but quickly ended up as cards. I copied one of the designs from Abby and the other from Stampin' Dolce (from Pinterest).

For these cards I used:
Hopscotch Paper Pack
Hopscotch Assortment
White Daisy card bases
Cocoa and Glacier Exclusive Inks
Chevron border punch

Stamp sets:
D1187 - For Every Occasion
B1467 - You Mean the World to Me
A piece of ribbon I had in my stash
That's it for me! Thanks for joining us this month and come back next month to see what creative projects we can bring to you! Thank you for stopping by and please feel free to leave a comment. If you see anything in our hop that you would like more information about, please contact your local Close to my Heart independent consultant.

Since I am the last stop on this hop, we now circle back to Nancy in southern Alberta! Happy hopping!!

  1. I really like the layering! And the tied ribbon is a beautiful touch. The "scripty" font type is a very nice counterpoint to the cheerful Hopscotch paper. Love it!

  2. Ok that was worth the wait. They turned out so fun!

  3. I like the strips of paper on the front of the card. Nice

  4. Gorgeous cards Janet - I love how you used the different strips of paper - thanks for sharing!

  5. Love the strips of paper on the cards. They are so cute, glad you got your paper in time.

  6. Cute cards and some really great ideas for using up those scraps! TFS :-)

  7. Fabulous cards! Love how you used all the strips of paper to make the backgrounds and you reminded me to use my chevron punch more.

  8. fun cards! Love them! the strips are fun, might have to borrow this idea ;)
